Trabajo entre la fotografía de toma directa y aquellas viejas fotografías analógicas encontradas. Las pongo en relación para explorar qué persiste cuando una imagen pierde su lugar.

Al cruzarse, distintos tiempos entran en diálogo. Una fotografía propia se encuentra con una realizada por otro. De ese cruce surgen nuevas relaciones y tensiones. Las intervengo para crear otro espacio, donde puedan surgir nuevas lecturas.

Siento que cada fotografía contiene capas internas que no son visibles a simple vista. Mi trabajo busca hacerlas aparecer. Dejar que lo onírico y la imaginación entren en juego. Que la memoria vuelva a hacerse presente.

Entiendo la fotografía como materia y como huella. Una imagen puede venir del pasado sin permanecer allí. Puede transformarse, desplazarse y volver a aparecer.

I work between direct photography and the old analogue photographs that I found. I establish a relation between them to explore what persists when an image loses its place.

When they intersect, different times enter into dialogue. A photograph of my own meets one taken by someone else. From this intersection emerge new relations and tensions. I intervene in these images to displace them into another space and open up new readings.

I feel that each photograph contains inner layers that are not visible at first glance. My work seeks to make them visible, allowing the oneiric and the imagination to come into play and memory to emerge.

I understand photography as materiality and as a photographic trace. An image can come from the past without remaining there. It can transform, shift and reappear.
